A great use of print, reminds of agitprop. Cheap cuts, quick reference, The monkey uses paint, trapped within a chair within a greater architectural and referential context, the words spell out a place.


Artist's Statement:
My background in architecture is relevant in several respects – I connect it to craft, drawing and process. In this particular work I wished to reflect on the limits of authorship, the artist's social imagery and how different questions about painting could be posed in the medium of print.
