Description:
‘Love the brevity of it. Very succinct work. Sheer professionalism, and also, the swiftness of the images and the actions. A certain unexpectedness, and also the relationship of the residual image to other art forms. That I think is the most important point. With video, I always have the problem to know why is this art. From the videos we saw, this was the one most obviously belonging to the art world, because of the contents. On the other hand, she used the video as creative material. She does something that you cannot do in a performance, you cannot do in a painting, even if it's dealing with painting. She does it with video, because, it's only possible in that way. That's one of the most important criteria of an art work. I loved her use of time and the frame, the actual perimeters on the screen and the relationship to picture painting.’
