Description:
‘I started off with two vehicles, a black Ford Capri and a 1950’s river boat, both of them nearing the end of their lives. They were then transformed by addition of functioning super-structures and other props which hint towards a mythological past. Interlaced with narratives and clues and lying still within the gallery, the two vessels seem to be at the end of great journeys. Great odysseys of specific intention that seems to have failed.’ ‘The existence of my art outside the gallery context is very important to me, for example IBLS Capri is fully functioning (with M.O.T.!) and I use it as my daily transport.’
