Description:
The recording of the voice of the poet Adrian Henri reading his poem “Without You” is accompanied by fragmentary images and scenes of his native city, Liverpool. Artist's statement: ' ‘It would be a portrait in absentia, an outline drawn around an empty space" (Auster, P.). “Without You” is best described as a documentary of Adrian Henri. Not in a conventional sense, but a new form of documentary where what is created is a mental picture or impression.’
