Description:
Audio piece in which the artist consecutively phones each floor of the Empire State Building to ask what floor the person is on. Artist Statement. ‘My work is concerned with complete sets of information, with beginnings and with ends. The work is meticulous, obsessive and democratic. In “Empire State Building” piece, I spoke to someone on each floor of the building. The top floor gets as much attention as the ground floor.’
